As long as I am having fun with my friends and the cool atmosphere it doesn't matter,oh and all the alchohol I drink....Anyways, this was my first year in the pit and I LOVED it, except for getting dropped on my head....NBT ROCKS!!!
- Fourth year running.This was the fourth year in a row we have gone to the Next Big Thing. I have to that every year it gets better and better every year. We went ahead and spent the extra money this yar and got the VIP tickets and loved it. We both got to meet our favorite band members. Hers Jack Mannequinadn and Anberlin, mine are Shinedown and Saving Abel. It was even better because we got autographs and got to meet the bands up close. SOmething we didnt think we would able to get to do. So we wanted to thank everyone at 97X for a great time again. Cant wait for next year.
- NBT 8This was my 3rd year in a row for NBT. I will have to say this year was the best!!! SHINEDOWN rocks the Amp. everytime!
- Framing HanleyMy first NBT, and it was worth freezing to death. The highlight I must say, was when I was waiting in line with my bestfriend Riley, and we noticed Framing Hanley unloading their trailer! Suprised no one noticed them! Got hugs and signatures on our tickets! Also, hung out with all the bands afterward, and got 3OH!3's e-mail! What a great experience<333333!
- NBT WAS KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!I will have to admit with everyone else that the sound system in the lawn sucks!! Which is why I paid the extra money to have the time of my life in the PIT.
Whoever said Atrayu sucked, obviously wasnt in the pit cause they rocked the fucking house!!! Although it was kind of embarassing when he had to say "would you guys fucking mosh already."
Ludo was awesome, Flobots and Flogging Molly again impressed the hell out of me, Shiny Toy Guns were great but a little out of place,and Avenged Sevenfold took every last bit of energy I had left.
Mackenzie from the Flobots is freakin hot!!! - Flogging Molly was the band I was most excited about and I thought they were amazing. I was really dissapointed with the new Shiny Toy Guns singer. Her vocals on songs such as le Disko were pretty bad. Besides that, I thought the show was amazing. I seem to be in the minority here, but I love the show being at the Ampitheatre. It isa great venue and I loved being in the pit. Can't wait for next year.
- AmazingNBT8 was amazing! I invited a bunch of friends from out of town and they all had a spectacular time! And now all of them are HUGE Ludo fans! Loved the line up, loved our seats (dead center), thank you for putting on such an AMAZING Show!

looking forward to the NEXT big thing >:D - I miss coachman parkI love NBT Ive been to the majority of them, but I miss the days of coachman park. I know the concert out grew itself, but why not change to Vinoy? It was nice when you did not have to worry about if all your friends could afford the concert or not. Now the pitt is so expensive. I just liked the atmosphere better when it was at coachman too. It was much more laid back and I dislike the acoustics at ford amp. I sat on the lawn this year and half the time I could barley hear the bands. It was more like background noise then anything else. The atmosphere is so much better at a park like that.
Besides that the bands were great! I love the bands you guys pick every year! It's always such a great show.
Please just consider changing the venue. All my friends agree. We've complained about this to each other every year since it has been changed. - NBTI was so stoked to see this concert and I was kinda disappointed. The band I was most looking forward to was Atreyu, because I had gotten there too late for Projekt Revolution and missed them, and they sucked. Who knew that the drummer was the only one that could sing in that band? I was surprised by the Flobots though, I thought they kicked ass. I wish Against Me! could've been there, and maybe the show would've been better...

- NBT 08it kinda sucked. the line up for the bands was good, it was really good, but the sound system sucked for everyone on the main stage. the amphitheatre deffinitely needs to invest in a better one.
- NBTConcert was amazing and had so much fun, bands were great! Only complaint was the loudness of the sound wasn't that great and the back screens for the lawn were coming and going. Can't wait for next year!!

Yes, the acoustics DO suck at the amphitheatre.
The moshing and the surfing was the best I've ever seen in Tampa! And to '....' , the kid with the mohawk, HELL YEAH I saw you! You showed 'em! And even chicks were moshing! And during Molly, I even learned a new Irish mosh! LOL! Great positive energy, and no fights that I could see.
And yeah, security guys were being dicks. But that's just 'cuz kids scare the sh!t out of them. And they weren't that bad. Hell, I didn't get kicked out! HAHA!

:) - Need a new venueLoved the show as always but the ford ampitheater does not do it justice. The audio quality sucks from the lawn section and security there was being a bunch of a-holes. Loved meeting Anberlin, that kicked ass. look forward to next year

- Shinedown fanI've seen Shinedown prob 11 or 12 times, been following them for quite a while. I've lived down here for about a year or so, and was pumped that they played here. I have always loved their show, even though this one was short, Brent never (and I mean NEVER) fails to put on a great show. I love the new chemistry with the new members. NBT rocked, all day and all night long!!! Keep it up!!!!
- Great Show!!!!!....Our First NBT!!!This was my wife and I's first NBT and we had a blast. Long time Shinedown fans here and we werent disappointed!!! Especially impressed by the Flobots!! They are great live! Also really digged the piano in Jacks Mannequin...l8r
- Lineup Awesome/Venue SucksGreat lineup as always. It was my 14th time seeing Avenged but they rocked as always. I was thoroughly impressed with Flobots and an all time fave, Flogging Molly. Brett from Shinedown was subpar on vocals but all in all a good show. But give the fans what they want and take it out of Ford Amp. The venue sucks-cant hear a thing in the lawn and they are committing grand theft with their concession prices.

- AtreyuAll of the shows were great, but Atreyu was the most intense fucking thing ever. Goodbye to my voice, I screamed out fucking blood to all their songs. Also glad I went to check out Claiborne, they did a killer job.
- omg nbt rockedIt was definately my first concert and was not the last. i sat in the lawn but still had soo much fun. on my left i had a crazy drunk chick who was puking then a couple on my right behind me who went through like 8 blunts lol. i came home smellin like weed and beer lol.97x is still and will always be freekin awesome!!!!
- Great Day of music.I wasn't really excited until after Jack's Mannequin, other than Anberlin. All the bands were great, sad thing for me is that A7X didn't put on as good of a show as they had the previous two times they came to town. Give the headliner more than 50 minutes next time!!
- Not Impressed.The sound at this show was crap. The band line up was AWESOME... but from where the majority of the crowd was sitting on the lawn, it just sounded like a radio was playing, which did NOT do the bands justice. The sideshow stage was much better, i thoroughly enjoyed the bands at that stage, because i could see them, and i could definitely hear them.

Thank u 97x!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!! - I say keep the future 97x Next Big Things at Coachman park. The atmosphere with everyone standing together as opposed to sitting in seats is a lot better. Plus the Ford Amp's prices on food and beer are way too pricy.

- Best Concert I've Been ToThis concert was amazing. I got there at 8:45 and didn't sit down till I left at 11 something, but it was well worth it.
The best bands were Atreyu, Flogging Molly, and 3OH!3. Atreyu's performance was intense, Flogging Molly was amazing and the bass player came up to our section of the pit and talked with us for like 5 minutes, and 3OH!3 was just really entertaining and funny.
All in all, it was the best concert of the year, and the best one I've been to. - NBTAwesome concert left TV was messed up but mini mosh pit in lawn seats was fun except these idiots smoking pot in front of us

- 97X / NBT Rocks!Yeah, I'm one of the dads in the crowd. Not one of the young guys, but I love music. This was my 3rd yr of Next Big Thing father-daughter bonding with my now-16 year old. And our 2nd year in the Pit. We'd never go back to seats again! For all the moshing, the crowd there is really totally cool, spirited and civil! Bruises are souvenirs! This concert is THE BEST (I'm 48 so I've been to "a few" others! And my daughter loves it even more than me.) 97X puts an OUTSTANDING lineup together. Too bad for the weather - but it was actually hot the last two years. December is fine. The only thing I HATE is TicketExtorter. They took an additional $44 on top of my ticket prices - that it criminal!!! But they know we'll keep coming back, the b**tards. Get someone else to sell for you, 97X.

The two bands that blew me away were Shinedown and Claiborne! my only beef was that it was 10$ per 24oz beer!! WTF!!?!?! - Stole the ShowAvenged Sevenfold, Atreyu,and Flogging molly were really good. But Shinedown and Flobots stole the show.I wasn't a Flobots fan but they converted me.And Ludo they were very entertaining even when they weren't performing.

BUT Freezing cold! :)the sound was horrible from the lawn seats....and the weather was great until the sun went down...coudn't stay past flobots cuz my friends toes were like popsicles. - i went to a nbt concert acouple years ago when it was in clearwater at that park. i would have to say it wasnt that great.but NBT7 was AMAZING!!!!!! i had so much fun watching 30H!3 on the side stage.the crowd surfers were badass.i would have to to Shinedown was the best performance ever!and when he came to the lawn area i went crazy!! Thank you so much 97x for a great concert

- 97x Next Big Thing 2008The concert was really fun and most of the bands were outstanding! I was dispointed in the sound quality of some of the bends, esp Red Jumpsuit really didn't impress me much. Thanks 97x for another great concert!!!
