So 97X Next Big Thing 6 is over with. I have to say that most of it was a blur, but it was the most amazing day . Now, somehow, I have to put into words what it was like for me that day. It was my first year actually being involved with this show, and I had the time of my life. Everything from being backstage just hanging out with Tom Delonge, going on stage with Fisher and Boy before AVA, to just sitting on the lawn with my friends and watching a couple of bands, was all a little overwhelming. Through all the work, all the buildup, and the anxiousness and questions about a new venue; it seems like everything was a success.

For me, the most amazing part of the day was My Chem. Now this was probably the best part of the day for most of us, but it wasn't just their performance, (which was dead on!), that was special. It was you guys that made it. To be standing in the front of the pit and turn around and see every single person in the Ampitheatre on their feet and screaming their lungs out, well, I don't know if I can convey to you that feeling for us as a staff. Phoebe, Braces, and I were all sort of in awe of the entire thing. I'm not afraid to admit that it brought a tear to my eye. The reason being is that the entire staff really is like one big family and this station is our life, not just a job. That being said, to see you guys like that during MCR, that just makes the whole year for me. Thanks to everyone who came out and spent the day with us and shared that experience. I had the time of my life, and I don't know how we will do it; but we will find a way to make NBT 7 even better!!!
