2008 Winner: Aversia

Hey local Tampa Bay bands - wanna open the 97X Memorial Day Backyard BBQ 3? Good, because we have three spots to fill this year and you could be one of those bands!

Three local bands will open the 97X Memorial Day Backyard BBQ 3 on May 23 in Vinoy Park. You'll share the stage with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Airborne Toxic Event, Mute Math and Iglu & Hartly!

All you have to do is email us a 30 second MP3 of your best stuff (DO NOT drop a CD off at our studio; we’ll use it as a coaster).

Our crack staff of music geeks will pick the 12 best bands and post them on 97xonline.com where listeners can vote for their favorite.

2008 Winner: Mr. Bella

Voting will begin Wednesday, May 13 at 5 p.m. and end on Monday, May 18 at Noon. The three bands with the most votes will be invited to play the 97X Memorial Day Backyard BBQ 3. Good Luck!
