SCOTTI'S REVIEW 13 Café & Lounge is off the beaten path. It is in a strip center behind Synovus Bank on the corner of McMullen Booth and Enterprise in Clearwater. From the outside, you have no idea what awaits you once you walk in the doors. Do yourself a favor and just try this place once and you’ll be hooked. The inside dining is very cool with an Asian flare. When you go out to the back patio you are transported into a tropical paradise. They have 2 new chefs and they have created an awesome new menu. The salad with goat cheese, toasted almonds, bacon and cranberries was amazing. I also tried the Stuffed Burger with blue cheese, shitake mushrooms and bacon, served with English chips and onion petals…Fantastic!! My favorite was the Tuscan Ravioli stuffed with chicken, sundried tomatoes and ricotta and topped with this decadent basil infused cream sauce. They have some other unique items on the menu that I didn’t get to try, but I will be back for the Avocado Eggrolls, Grouper Fritters and Tempura Fish Tacos. This restaurant has the uncanny ability to take you to a different place once you walk through the doors; the atmosphere keeps you there and the unique and delicious food will keep you coming back for more.
