We appreciate all the labels and bands participating in the 97X Green Room and, for the most part, these are amazing experiences. However, there are times a Green Room performance doesn't turn out the way the band or we expected. Here are some of the performances that missed the mark.

Socialburn - "Down"
To be fair, these guys rolled in at 8 in the morning with no coffee.

Yellowcard - "Only One"
They didn't want to perform this song, but we're pressured into it by a fan.

Good Charlotte - "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous"
Again, another early-in-the-day recording.

Things You Didn't Know About 97X Green Room: Volume 3

The 12th track on the CD is a cover of the Creedence Clearwater Revival classic "Who'll Stop The Rain?" performed by Rise Against.
The cover photo was taken on Passa Grille Beach on Thursday, July 12, 2007.
Hayley from Paramore was the first and only female to perform in a 97X Green Room.
No, we didn't screw up. There is no #7 on the photo page - that was just us being silly. No pictures allowed in the 97X Green Room featuring Brand New; they wouldn't allow any photos or video to be shot.
The Matisyahu track wasn't recorded in the real 97X Green Room, it was recorded in the first "off-site" Green Room at the Ford Amphitheatre before their show with 311. Where is the Green Room? It's really just a conference room at our offices. Check out the before and after shots.
The 97X Green Room: Volume 3 was created entirely in the Tampa Bay area. All the music was recorded in our studios in St. Petersburg. The mastering of the CD was conducted at Morrisound Studios in Tampa and the actual CD production was done by our friends at Evatone in St. Petersburg. Plus, all the money raised for the charity stays here in the Tampa Bay area.
All the photos in the packaging are actual photographs. Nothing was added to the photos, the bird really walked up to the guitar which was siting in the water. We did remove some things from the pictures to make them look better. Here's a before and after picture of the cover shot.
During the +44 Green Room, one of the band's entourage decided it would be funny if he stuck "Famous" stickers all over our offices. We found them on desks, walls, cabinets for weeks after. Photo evidence.

The guitar on the cover is the same guitar that was used on the cover of the Green Room: Volume 1 CD. During the photography session, it spent over an hour in the Gulf; it's body was full of saltwater and is now covered with dried salt. We're still having bands sign it though. It's been through a lot; read its history here.
You found hidden website in the liner notes, but have you found these other hidden objects? Shark's face? Fisher's face? The face of a baby smiling? Norton (the NBT guy - he's hidden but he's there) The bird from the cover of Vol 2? We also hid some initials; can you find the "KL," "JR," "JO," "RJY?" Who's initials are they? We're not telling.
