TWLOHA launch ‘You Make Today Better’ campaign for World Suicide Prevention Day

Help us support an incredible cause.

08/12/19 — Today World Suicide Prevention Day. It is also National Suicide Prevention Week, Sept. 8th - 14th.

In Honor of that, To Write Love On Her Arms, or TWLOHA, have launcheda huge campaign to help raise awareness for this cause, something very close to our hearts at 97X.

As TWLOHA states:

- 800,000 people die by suicide every year.

- That's one person every 40 seconds.

- For each death, there are an additional 25 attempts.

We need your help to change these numbers.

Join us in helping spread the message of the years campaign: You make today better. Help us make those around us who are struggling to feel safe, to feel like they can talk, and to be okay with reaching out for help. And if you are suffering, hopefully these words of hope and comfort can make you feel ready to finally step forward and seek guidance and help.

From TWLOHA, Together, we can educate and equip people with ways to talk about suicide prevention and mental health openly and without shame. In addition, we will also raise life-saving funds to help people sit with a counselor—often for the first time.

To help donate to this cause, please find the information and  read the mission of TWLOHA here.

And if you or someone you know urgently needs help or needs to talk, please call 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
